The National Development Centre - British Columbia (NDC-BC) is a contemporary sports environment that provides training and competition opportunities for athletes with provincial, post-secondary, and national team aspirations. The NDC-BC offers a holistic and integrated approach that follows the Long-Term Development pathway.

Training and competition are aligned with Canadian water polo technical and tactical foundations and supported by sports research to elevate athletes toward their water polo goals. The Provincial Training Centre will also serve to develop coaches and officials.
The Provincial Team Program (Team BC) is delivered through the NDC-BC. For competitions and events, athletes are selected for Team BC. For more detailed information on Team BC please visit this page.
National Team/Age Group National Team Eligibility
Players based in British Columbia and wishing to be eligible for selection to Water Polo Canada's Age Group National Teams must be registered with the NDC-BC.

Athlete Carding
Canadian Sport Institute Pacific Athlete Carding will be managed through the Provincial Training Centre. For more detailed information and the Water Polo West CSI Athlete Criteria please visit this page.
Program Objectives:

National Development Centre - BC (Vancouver)
NDC-BC programming is primarily hosted at the University of British Columbia Aquatic Centre. Water Polo West is building relationships to expand training across different facilities.
Regional Training Centres (Kelowna and Victoria)
Water Polo West plans to expand PTC programming across BC and is seeking expressions of interest from potential athletes. Please fill out this Google Form to register your interest and receive more information on developing opportunities in Kelowna and Victoria.

Athletes can pay a deposit for 2023-24 PNational Development Centre through RAMP
