European Training Camp

Who should consider this camp?

For athletes born 2012 or earlier looking for exceptional water polo experience.

There will be a cap of 30 athletes.

When?

Departing July 29, 30, 31 (depending on flight prices) Return 15 days later.

Where?

Week 1: Bečej, Serbia

Accommodation at Club 4 Rooms, Zelena Ulica 26 Bečej

Training at Sportski centar Bečej

Week 2: Herceg Novi, Montenegro

Accommodation at Hunguest Hotel Sun Resort, Sveta Bubala, Herceg - Novi

Training at Jadran Water Polo Club, Škver city port

What is the cost and what is included?

Price expected to be approximately $3200 per athlete (plus overseas flights)

The trip can be broken down into separate weeks:

Serbia only $1700; Montenegro only $2000 - both not including overseas flights. Athletes not traveling with the group flights must be accompanied by an adult family member.

These costs are still approximate and will be finalized once we have a better idea of numbers.

Out of province athletes (WPC affiliated) will be charged an additional $25 admin fee.

 

Includes:​

• All accommodation

• All meals

• Two BC Coaches (Branko Pekovic and Hayley McKelvey)

• Additional coaching from local coaches in Serbia and Montenegro

• Daily practices

• Additional activities TBD

• Scrimmages with international teams (Serbia and Montenegro)

• Airport transfers in Europe *if traveling with group

• Transfer from Serbia to Montenegro

• Two BC chaperones

Return overseas airfare to/from Vancouver (or otherwise arranged) will be in addition to the estimated costs listed above. For families booking their own flights, there will need to be some additional planning around ground transfers and chaperones.

Timeline

Families will need to commit with a $500 non-refundable deposit by February 10. Registration and deposit link is HERE.
