(Vancouver, August 30, 2019) - Water Polo Canada’s coaching staff announced the final 13-player roster for the 2019 FINA World Women’s Junior Water Polo Championships. The tournament will take place from September 9 to 15, 2019, in Funchal, Portugal. Team Canada will be looking to improve upon an 8th place finish at the 2017 event in Volos, Greece.
Ava Morrant (Fraser Valley) and Brianna Utas (Pacific Storm) were selected to the main roster while Emma Fraser (Saanich) was selected as an alternate.

The Women’s Junior athletes met at the National Training Centre on August 19, 2019, for a week-long training and evaluation in preparation for the event.
